Cabernet Sauvignon - Madison Ridge 2007 (South Eastern Australia) - Sweet and strong; very good.
Cabernet Sauvignon - Oeno 2006 (Washington) - Very strong; too strong to taste.
Cabernet Sauvignon - Pavin & Riley 2006 (Washington Columbia Valley) - Weak with no discernible taste; awful.
Cabernet Sauvignon - Robert Mondavi 2007 (Napa Valley, California) - Smooth and fruity; very good.
Cabernet Sauvignon - Smoking Loon 2008 (Napa, California) - Strong and fruity; yummy.
Cabernet Sauvignon - Spiral Wines 2008 (Napa Valley, California) - Very strong and fruity; excellent.
Cabernet Sauvignon - Stonecap 2005 (Kennewick, Washington) - Bitter and no cork; avoid this one.
Cabernet Sauvignon - Trellis 2007 (Sonoma County, California) - Strong but bitter.
Chardonnay - Bulletin Place 2007 (South Eastern Australia) - Sweet and not too dry.
Chardonnay - Montecepas 2006 (Argentina) - Kinda bitter.
Chardonnay - Rim Rock 2006 (Washington - Yakima Valley) - OK.
Chardonnay - Terranoble 2008 (Chile Central Valley) - A little better than vinegar.
Chardonnay Unwooded - Fishbone 2006 (Australia) - OK; not oakey. 
Garnacha - Besame 2008 (Spain) - Strong, red wine; bottle promises blackberry & tangerine but they are well hidden.
Grenache - Shingleback 2005 (Australia) - Tasty and substantial; a different red.
Malbec - La Finca 2008 (Argentina) - What the heck is malbec; too strong and too dry.
Malbec - La Finca 2009 (Argentina) - Seems to be better than the 2008; not so dry.
Marsala - Sheffield Cellars 2007 (California) dessert wine - Sah-weet; sip it or skip it.
Merlot - Alexander & Fitch 2007 (Sonoma, California - Very strong taste for hard-core merlot lovers.
Merlot - 35 Degrees South 2006 (Chile) - Fruity and strong but smooth; very good.
Merlot - Balatonboglari Semi-Sweet 2008 (Hungary) - Kool-Aid.
Merlot - Balatongoglari Semi-Sweet 2010 (Hungary) - Still very sweet.
Merlot - Beringer 2006 (California) - Smooth; you cannot go wrong with major California wines.
Merlot - Charles Shaw 2007 (California) - Very good merlot; and the price is right.

Merlot - Santa Rita 120 - 2008 (Chile) - Very smooth & tasty; a bargain.
Merlot - Sterling Vintner's Collection 2005 (California) - Strong flavor; another very good California merlot.
Merlot - Three Knights 2007 (Sonoma, CA) - Very strong flavor; as good as any merlot.
Merlot - Trader Joe's Coastal 2006 (California) - Kinda bitter.
Merlot - Trellis 2006 (Sonoma, California) - Strong  taste; very good for the price.
Merlot - Trellis 2007 (Sonoma, California) - Ditto.
Merlot - Yellow Tail 2008 (Australia) - Strong, good taste; one of the best.

Petite Sirah - Blue Fin 2007 (California) - Strong and fruity; recommended by Trader Joe.
Petite Sirah - San Simeon 2004 Paso Robles (California) - Cough syrup.
Pinot Noir - Beaulieu Vinyard Coastal Estates 2006 (France) - Somewhat bitter and dry; not the way I like it.
Pinot Noir - Black Mountain Vineyard Painted Ridges 2008 (California) - Smooth and fruity; another good California wine.
Pinot Noir - Black Mountain Vineyard Haro Hills 2009 (California) - Ditto. [Second bottle of same was bitter]
Pinot Noir - Red Door Cellars 2007 (McMinnville, Oregon) - Very strong and good-tasting; A+.
Pinot Noir - Robert Mondavi Private Selection 2007 (California) - A little sharp; not the best.
Pinot Noir - Santa Barbara Landing 2008 (Santa Barbara County, California) - Not special but OK; average taste.
Pinot Noir - Sterling Vineyards Carneros 2005 (California) - Strong and fruity; A-.
Red Wine - Crucillon Campo De Borja 2006 (Spain) - Cough-syrupy; beware of wine identified only as "red."
Red Wine - Bodega Privada 2008 (Argentina) - Robitussin; sip it.
Red Wine - Resting Vines 2007 (Napa, California) - Strong and fruity; OK for "red."
Red Wine - Sawtooth 2006 (Nampa, Idaho) - Screwtop with 62% cabernet sauvignon, 29% syrah, 8% merlot and 1% cabernet franc; works for me.
Red Wine - Sediento Malbec Bonarda 2008 (Argentina) - Slightly smoky with an herbal edge that's backed by currant and blackberry notes; or not.
Red Wine - Terras D'el Rei 2008 (Portugal) - Strong and fruity; very good "red."
Red Table Wine - Veglio Sinfonia (Italy) - Sharp at first but OK; ordinary red.
Rose - Clos Du Bois 2008 (Sonoma, California) - Good but not distinctive.
Rubicone - Il Paradosso 2009 (Italy) - Another gravy wine.
Sangiovese - Il Valore 2008 (Italy) - Bitter and dry.
Sangiovese - Tuscan Moon 2009 (California) - Very fruity and just a little bit of bitterness.
Sauvignon Blanc - Charles Shaw 2007 (California) - Smooth; why pay more?
Sauvignon Blanc - Radog 2006 (Santa Maria, California) - Light; OK for a white.
Shiraz - Charles Shaw 2007 (California) - Award-winning TBC.
Shiraz - Lindemans 2009 (Australia) - Very strong fruit taste; no complaints here.
Shiraz - Mak 2003 (Australia) - Strong and tasty; excellent Aussie.
Shiraz - Purple Moon 2008 (California) - Smooth and fruity; and strong.
Shiraz - Triplepoint The Umbra 2005 (Australia) - Strong and fruity; not bad for a screw-top.
Shiraz - Yellow Tail 2008 (Australia) - Strong fruity taste; $2Chuck is better.
Shiraz Cabernet - Penfold's 2010 (Australia) - Robust blend with a distinctive taste; strong at first but very satisfying.
Syrah - Apex Cellars 2005 (Yakima Valley, Washington) - Bitter, bitter, bitter. Skip this one.
Syrah - Trader Joe's Coastal 2007 (California) - Has a bit of a nutty taste; how do they do that?
Syrah - Falcon Ridge 2006 (Heldsburg, California) - Not bad for cough syrup; not good for wine.
Tenacious Red - Purple Cowboy 2007 (Paso Robles, California) - Strong and fruity; tenacious!
Zinfandel - Old Moon 2008 (California) - Sharp and dry; where's the fruit?
Zinfandel - Ravens Wood 2007 (California) - Strong and fruity; tasty.
