Sisters (Jason Moore) - 2015

This is the feel-good movie of the year.  Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are the best comedy entertainment team in the business today.  They are very comfortable with each other.  They deliver their lines flawlessly.  They are very attractive human beings.  And, they are great dancers.  Although the movie suffers a bit from the obligatory gross-out scenes, there is an important message here about the special relationships that family members carry with them throughout their lifetimes.  There are no surprises in the plot but each element is completed with professional skill.  Two sisters occupy their childhood home for one more day and one more party after their parents had sold the house so they could retire and have a less-complicated life.  The best supporting actors in this film are Greta Lee as the Korean manicurist with an attitude, and John Cena as the local drug dealer/superhero.  [JAM 1/3/2016]
