Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (Mike Newel) - 2010

Jake Gyllenhaal, a renown Persian actor, stars in this movie based on the 1989 Broderbund video game.  The story takes place in ancient Persia where everyone speaks proper English.  Gyllenhaal is the adopted prince of the great King Sharaman (Ronald Pickup).  One day the king's brother (not Dick Cheney) played by Ben Kingsley claims that the holy city of Alamut is selling weapons of mass destruction to Persia's enemies.  Dick, I mean Ben encourages the sons of the king to mount a preemptive strike on the tiny, defenseless city.  There are many, many dangers in this land but Prince Jake can walk on walls and perform amazing acts of athleticism.  And, luckily, he found this wonderful device that allows him to time travel when things are not going so well.  The action is furious and unbelievable but who cares?  It's a popcorn movie for video gamesters who need to rest their thumbs.
