Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009)

This movie is much too silly.  Ben Stiller was a divorced, unemployed loser who got a job as a night watchman two years ago at the Museum of Natural History.  At night, all of the exhibits come to life.  However, Stiller got bored with historical figures and animated dinosaurs.  He went on to become a very successful gadget-king and chief-inventor of marginally-useful items like the glow-in-the-dark flashlight.  But Stiller found that his former friends were in trouble because one of the toy cowboys called him on a giant telephone.  The natural history museum exhibits have been shipped to the Smithsonian causing 19 museums and all of the underground storage to come alive.  Our hero meets perky Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams) and cowardly General Custer (Bill Hader).  Then, the battle between good and evil ensues.  In the end, Stiller decides that the corporate life was really more boring than giant octopi and Amy Adams in those tight aviator pants.
