Cowboys & Aliens (Jon Favreau) -2011

Long before Sigourney Weaver was born, the aliens landed in the wild, wild west and tried to steal our gold.  Outlaws, ranchers and Apache Indians join forces to battle some really ugly space guys with super powers and high-tech fighter jets.  The westerners would seem to be out-gunned but movie fans have learned to never underestimate the the resourcefulness of the posse led by Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) and James Bond (Daniel Craig).  There is a lot of make-believe blood and gore here but the good news is that the dog was not harmed.  I prefer the aliens who are cute and nice.  [JAM 8/2/2011]
