Mad #441 (John Ficarra) - Jennifer Garner Issue - May 2004

Ms. Garner (aka Ms. Ben Affleck) achieved the amazing feat of appearing on the front cover (drawing by Mark Fredrickson), back cover (ad for Alias video game) and star of the featured, six-page television parody ("Ailing-Us") by Dick DeBartolo and Hermann Mejia in one issue.  This television series, created by J.J. Abrams, ran for six seasons and 105 episodes from 2001 to 2006.  I am sure that it was a great series but I have so far managed to miss all 105 episodes including reruns.  After the series ended, Ms. Garner married Ben, produced three children (Violet, Samuel and Seraphina), and acted in some forgettable movies: Catch and Release, Valentine's Day, Butter, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, etc.  Meanwhile, hubby Affleck has sky-rocketed to super-stardom with his roles in Man About Town, Extract, The Town and Runner Runner.  However, according to all reports, both are excellent parents which is really all that matters.  [JAM 6/22/2014]
