Mad #316 (Nick Meglin and John Ficarra) - Pumpkin Issue - January 1993

The cover of issue number 316 was created by master food carver, Hugh McMahon.  As usual, the Mad staff was celebrating Halloween with its January issue.  This issue also featured the first of many tributes to founder William M. Gaines by artist Dave Berg.  Gaines was framed and placed in the office of the Mad staff to watch over the staff as they continue to create the magazine that first appeared in 1955. [JAM 3/25/2012]
