Mad #297 (Nick Meglin and John Ficarra) - Angelo Torres Issue - September 1990

The artwork in "The Hunt for Last October" may be the best ever for veteran Mad artist, Angelo Torres.  His drawings of Sean Connery, James Earl Jones, Sam Neill and others exhibit his true artistic talent.  In addition, Torres adds Publisher Gaines, Batman, Tom & Jerry, General Halftrack, Mikhail Gorbachev and Spy vs. Spy to the parody written by Stan Hart.  Torres was in the middle of a streak of 99 consecutive issues of Mad.  Through the end of 2011, he has drawn pages for 282 issues.  Fellow artist Don Edwing honored Torres and Sergio Aragones with starring roles in "The Sadistic Sharpshooter's Stunt" and "The Lyrical Latin Lalapalooza," respectively.
