Mad #165 (Albert Feldstein) - James Bomb Issue - March 1974

Mad made up for eleven years of  James Bond movies with their parody of eight (Dr. No, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Diamonds Are Forever and Live And Let Die) of them in one article drawn flawlessly by Mort Drucker.  Arnie Kogen wrote the parody that linked the eight stories.  This is the second James Bond parody for Mad.  The first one "007" appeared as a musical in Mad #94 written By Frank Jacobs and drawn by Drucker.

While Jacobs is the resident poet, Tom Koch upstaged him in issue #165 with terrific parodies of eleven classic poems: "Mad Sequels to Famous Poems."  Jacobs had two rather ordinary writing credits in the issue: "I Want You Posters Starring Today's Celebrities" and "Unavoidable Exercises for the Urban Dweller."
