Mad #160 (Albert Feldstein) - Cannonball Issue - July 1973

Mort Drucker was missing from the second consecutive issue.  This would not happen again for many years.  This time his place was taken by the equally-talented Mr. Jack Davis.  The Davis drawings for the "Cannonball" television parody were excellent.  In the Dick DeBartolo parody, the hero is shown investigating a murder while constantly eating and wearing a bib.  In one frame, Mr. Cannonball is eating a plateful of hamburgers while wearing a "Wimpy" hat.  He can also smoke two pipes and a cigar at the same time.  [JAM 4/7/2010]
