Public speaking was not one of my skills but my positions with AGAL, CSA and ASGE were constantly calling for me to speak in front of larger and larger groups.  As long as I had a good knowledge of the subject and notes on a projector, these presentations became routine.  I am much more comfortable writing about these subjects since I can carefully select the words.  As executive director of ASGE, I began to create new programs for the education and recognition of gas engineers; took full control of newsletters; and helped with the development of an internet website (www.asge-national.org).  [JAM 6/13/2020]
