1955

My parents were notoriously bad photographers.  My dad bought a Brownie box camera with a large push-button on one side.  After viewing the scene, he would push down on the button and turn the camera at the same time.  As a result, many of the people in the photos look they are standing on the side of a hill.  The photo of my mother, sister Betty and me was taken in front of our grandparents' house in Bellflower.  It may have been Easter.  [JAM 6/3/2020]
